Anatomy


Human and anthropomorphic forms

The human form for Plumii is the primary and first form at birth, the anthropomorphic form is dormant until awakened by Plumii herself. The symbiote that causes the anthropomorphic form is inside the crystal on the back side of the crust.

External Traits:

  • The upper ears take different shapes depending on the subspecies. By default, the shape of the ears is triangular, may be more or less elongated, the ears are closed and covered with short fur. The ears are similar to a shell, which is covered with fur. The inside of the ear is not visible, unlike cat ears, for example. The height of the upper ears does not exceed 2/3 of the head size.
  • The lower ears take different shapes depending on the subspecies, but the default shape of the lower ears is that of human ears: rounded.
  • Eyes, nose and mouth perform the same function as in humans and do not differ in their structure. Mucosa and iris can take on any color, though most often it is the color of the essence of crystal.
  • On the neck of Plumii there are small holes, invisible to the naked eye, from which the dome is formed. The dome is necessary for the Plumii to protect their head from the harmful effects of the environment. The dome can be summoned and disappear at the will of the Plumii.
  • The most important thing about Plumii is the crystal, which is their second heart. The crystal keeps the Plumii's body alive and, like a heart, pumps essence throughout the their body.
  • We can't fail to mention the tail! It varies from subspecies to subspecies, but most often it is made up of hair and has a hair like texture. The tail is no longer than half the length of the body unless otherwise noted.

The internal anatomy is largely similar to human anatomy, but there are significant differences in the structure of Plumii. For example:

  • Plumii have pouches in the shoulder area that store excess essence. The essence from the pouches is later used to interact with magic.
  • Food also enters Plumii's body through the mouth and passes through the intestines and bowels, but eventually reaches the mesentery, which has a different function. The mesentery processes leftover food into essence. Also, most of the subspecies have no need for a toilet.
  • There are also tubes of essence inside the body, in addition to blood pathways. The tubes touch every organ in the body and carry essence from the mesentery to the organs.

The anthropomorphic form may be the primary form for Plumii, but may not be the first form at birth. Plumii can be in an anthropomorphic form all or most of the time without discomfort or harm to their health. The anthropomorphic form symbiote covers the Plumii and merges with their body, changing their appearance slightly. For example:

  • The arms and legs are modified into paws. Plumii legs may be more bent. The hands may have fewer than five fingers.
  • The lower ears are hidden by the symbiotic and are absent in the anthro form.
  • Also, all genitalia in the subspecies osin and yappie are concealed by the symbiotome. Due to these differences, Plumii in the anthro-form may not wear clothing.
  • The anthro-form's dome also changes its appearance to a mask. Because the symbiote covers the body, including the neck, and the holes of the dome are under the symbiote, as is the dome itself. So the dome looks like a mask, but retains its distinctive features, such as the wiskers of a cat dome, the layers of an onion dome.

The internal structure of Plumii does not change, except for the limbs, which are modified by the symbiotic.


Birth, rebirth, crystallization

Plumii live long and full lives, but everything comes to an end. Their average lifespan is around 150-170 years. Depending on the subspecies, Plumii can be born or reborn.

Rebirth:

  • As Plumii nears death, their crystal begins to fade, meaning that the color of the essence tends towards white. The essence loses its power and can no longer sustain life in the body. Once the color of the essence turns white, the crystal breaks down and Plumii's skin crystallizes.
  • Crystallization takes place in about 2-4 weeks. Once the skin is fully crystallized, a thick crust begins to grow on top of the body. This leaves the meat, organs and bones inside. Later, everything that remains turns into a slurry of blood, meat, and newly arrived essence.
  • The new essence gets inside the “egg” through the environment. Depending on the essence that was in the air when the Plumii was formed, their sub-species is chosen. A greater amount of fire essence forms ricky, plant essence affects the subspecies amezeta, air essence affects the subspecies iwao. But even with the predominance of any essence, there is always a good chance that Plumii of a working subspecies will be born. Subspecies osni and yappi can not be reborn, because they are available only sexual reproduction.
  • After the body inside the “egg” has formed, the shell begins to crack. Large pieces of the egg break off, giving birth to a new Plumii that is not related to the old, dead Plumii.
Birth:
  • Birth is peculiar to the subspecies of osin and yappie because of the presence of genitalia, and as a consequence of sexual reproduction. Osin and yappie reproduce by throwing eggs. Female osin or yappie lays about 1-3 eggs in the water, after which the male needs to fertilize them. The new Plumii develops inside the egg for about 6 months, after which the shell of the egg bursts and a new Plumii is born. The subspecies of Plumii will then be either ossine or yuppie depending on the subspecies of the parents.
The soul child:
  • One form of bringing a new Plumii into the world, combining both birth and rebirth - the soul child. One or two parents give half of their essence to a maternity hospital, where their essence is later transferred into one of the special “eggs” - eggs that contain the slurry that failed to be reborn into a new Plumii. The Plumii born in this way will have a subspecies of one of the parents.

Crystal

The crystal is always on the surface of the body, present singularly, and can only be located on the following places:

  • Forehead, cheeks, back of the head, torso, substitute eyes, back of the palms and the palms themselves, back, tailbone, thighs on the outside (sides), front of the legs (excluding bending places), outside of the arms, shoulders.

The crystal may not be placed on:

  • Places in contact with another part of the body, such as the inside of the arms and thighs;
  • Bending areas such as armpits, knees and the back of the knees.
  • Points of contact with another surface and places where a lot of pressure is applied, such as the buttocks and feet.
  • Other places include the neck, top of the head, ears, and fingers.

The size of the crystal should be large enough. Depending on your style, the size of the crystal is different, but try to focus on the size of the character's brush. The size of the character's brush is roughly equal to the size of the crystal.

The crystal MUST be on the surface of the body, and it also needs to be in sunlight. Therefore, the Crystal is not completely covered by clothing, it can be covered by about 50%. On reference, the crystal must be rendered outside the character if it is not fully visible. Covering more than half of the crystal has a detrimental effect on Plumii's health. The crystal fades over time and turns completely white when the Plumii dies.

Plumii currently have 17 possible crystal forms: 6 basic, 6 iron, 5 gold. To use the iron form of the crystal you need to apply to the character the item “iron bottle”, similarly with the golden form with the item “golden bottle”. The filling of the crystal, essence, can be one of five:

  • A base essence that completely fills the crystal;
  • Liquid - the essence takes on the properties of a liquid. In this case, the essence does not completely fill the crystal;
  • Plant - the essence takes on the appearance of vegetation, mainly leaves or sprouts;
  • Flame - the essence takes on the appearance of a flame. In this case, the essence can move to simulate combustion;
  • Smoke - the essence takes the form of smoke. In this case, the essence can move, such as spinning, or temporarily become transparent.

A crystal can be multicolored - a maximum of 4 colors total. However, this is a mutation trait added by the Starwave colorant item.


horns

Plumii may also have horns, an outgrowth of bone on the head. Horns can come in a variety of shapes and textures. Some subspecies have additional horn shapes and textures that are unique to them. Horns are present only as decoration, located on the head, mostly on the rim or directly on the forehead.

Horns can be broken, painted, or decorated with anything, but cracked horns fall under the category of “crystal texture” as long as the crystal is missing pieces.

Ordinary horns must meet the following requirements: the base must be wider than the end; the ends of the horns must not grow in such a way that they face each other; the horns must not have more than one end. Anything beyond these requirements refers to special horns, for example, geometric horns have a base and end of the same width, and horns-nimbus grow in such a way that their ends look at each other.

Horns can be inverted - this is a basic trait and can be used freely as long as the horns fit the basic requirements. The horns may be large enough to exceed the area that the dome envelopes - in which case the dome would be leaky. The maximum number of horns in a Plumii is five (not pairs). By default, Plumii have a maximum of 2 horns (not pairs), but this number can be increased by using the “duplicate” trait.


upper and lower ears

The upper ears pick up essence that travels through the planet's atmosphere, allowing Plumii to use their magical powers. In most subspecies, the upper ears change appearance, allowing the essence to distinguish one Plumii subspecies from another, improving interaction.

The default ear shape is triangular, can be more or less elongated, and the ears are closed and covered with short fur. The ears are similar to a shell, which is covered with fur. The inside of the ear is not visible, unlike cat ears, for example. The height of the upper ears does not exceed 2/3 of the head size, unless it is a subspecies of Amezetes - they are allowed.

  • In subspecies rikki the upper ears have sharp zigzag features, they are also always bare (not covered with hair, ear color is not equal to hair color).
  • In subspecies osin and yappie the upper ears have soft wavy features, and also can be with frills and offshoots, and also as in ricky they are always bare (not covered with wool, ear color is not equal to hair color).
  • Ametheta subspecies can have their own, special ears, as well as the usual triangular ears. Amezet ears can be any shape that is found in animals, as well as being large and tall.
  • The subspecies Iwao and Working have regular triangular upper ears.

There are no problems with piercings and accessories, ear devices, scars, deafness, and more. However, it is not acceptable in Plumii society to imitate the ears of other subspecies. Ears can also be differently shaped within a subspecies, but this is an iron trait added by the iron bottle. Ears always standing on the top of the head is a basic trait, however ears that are on the sides of the head or that deviate slightly from the standing position fall under the “iron shaped ears” trait added by the iron bottle. Ears that hang down from the head or ears whose ends point downward fall under the “golden ear shape” trait, added with a gold bottle.


dome and mask

The dome is required for every Plumii, even if it does not leave the city limits. The dome is summoned from holes in the neck and uses a small amount of essence, for this reason the color of the dome is the same as the color of the essence. The dome protects the Plumii from harmful effects, harmful gases, and prevents any objects or liquids from passing through its sheath, except for the Plumii's own body parts.

Domes come in eight available shapes, and one combination. The “ onion”, “cat”, “ round”, and “horned” domes are basic and available to every subspecies. The “snake” dome is only available to the rikki subspecies, the “winged” dome is only available to Iwao, the “fish” dome is only available to osin, and the “octopus” dome is only available to yappies.

If the Plumii horns are large enough to exceed the area that the dome envelopes, the dome will be leaky and will not protect the Plumii from gases and harmful influences.

Since the color of the dome and mask is equal to the color of the essence (crystal), if the crystal is multicolored, so is the dome. The dome can also have formations on its “surface” if the “newgrows” trait is applied to it.

A mask has the same function as a dome, as it is essentially a dome. When the symbiote forms Plumii's anthro form, it covers Plumii's body so that only the face remains intact. When the dome is summoned, it is unable to form around the head, so a portion of it protrudes into the face area, forming a mask. The mask has the special features of the dome that is under the cover of the anthro form. For example a mask based on a bulbous dome would have layers, and a dome based on a cat dome would have tendrils.


Pairing

Pairing is a special interaction between two or more Plumii. It occurs through mutual touching - if one Plumii touches its partner's crystal, the second Plumii must touch its partner's crystal to pair. Pairing allows multiple Plumii to exchange experiences, knowledge, emotions, and feelings with each other. Pairing also exchanges life forces between the paired ones so that the brightness of the paired crystals becomes equal.

Family pairing

Family pairing is a very personal and intimate process by which two Plumii can give birth to a soul child or offspring of a related subspecies. By family pairing their crystals, the Plumii create a material essence that combines their traits and give it to the birthing center so that a new Plumii can be born later with the traits of its parents. The soul child outwardly resembles its parents and inherits one of their subspecies.

By familially mating their crystals, two Plumii may die together to later give birth to a hybrid Plumii from their crystallized bodies. Such a Plumii is rare, and most often the mating results in a normal Plumii or a Plumii with a mating disease, the curse.

Magic Pairing

Magical pairing enhances the power of magic and its abilities, and allows you to advance to the next level more quickly. This pairing is common in magical schools, is not something intimate, and is more than acceptable in society. Pairing allows mages to share knowledge and give a temporary multiplier of experience, but it is hard to maintain - for this reason it has a long rollback.

Information pairing

Information conjugation is unpredictable due to its understudied nature and novelty. Info-conjugation can occur between a large number of Plumii. In this case, one Plumii should act as a pairing host, which will receive all information about all participants.

working subspecies

The Plumii, now called working, were the very first to be created. They live in all cities and can adapt to any temperature and humidity. Due to their high adaptability, they are the most common subspecies, occupying the majority of the population. The working class has no innate magic or any distinctive traits. They are treated indifferently and neutrally by all four Elementals. The working class can have any pure magic, but not related magic. The anthropomorphic form of the worker class has a coat that is smooth and short, with no strongly bulging parts.

The working subspecies has no special traits, so only basic traits are available to them with no additional attachments.

rikki subspecies

Rikki are descended from the Plumii who lived in the hot sands. The primordial rikki forged metals and traveled under scorching stars, which earned them scales and shells as gifts from the Fire Elemental. Modern rickkis have retained their gifts, and with it the ability to have poison. Some individuals can poison other animals through a bite or their tail. Depending on the amount of poison, a rickki has an enlarged tail tip. Rikki's innate magic is fire magic, related magic is also available if the crystal essence is smoke or plant.

Ametheta subspecies

Ametheta are descended from Plumii who lived on the land, in forests, steppes and mountains. The primitive Ametheta were hunters, due to which they gained fangs and claws, and became furred. The innate magic for the Ametheta is earth magic. They are strongly tied to animal husbandry and farming, and magic helps them with this aspect of life. The anthropomorphic form of an Ametheta is generally not much different from the humanoid form, mostly because it is the human form that has animal traits.

iwao subspecies

The Iwao are descended from the Plumii who lived high in the mountains. The primitive Iwao vaunted music and cartography, and as a result were gifted wings by the Air Elemental. Although most modern Iwao have lost the ability to fly freely, this is correctable if the Plumii Iwao study air magic. By learning air magic - innate to Iwao - they regain the loyalty of the Air Elemental. The anthropomorphic form also has wings, but along with this, their body surface has chitin plates on their chest and back. osin subspecies

Osin are descended from Plumii who lived near bodies of water. The primordial Osins were healers and fishermen, and were gifted scales by the Water Elemental. Osins are the only primitive subspecies to have retained the ability to reproduce sexually. The reason for this is the piety of the primordial Osins, which is the reason why they have not incurred the wrath of the Goddess. In addition, for Osin innate magic - water. yappie subspecies

Yappies are descended from a subspecies of Osin. At times, Osins had to travel long distances, but their need to regularly moisturize their skin prevented them from doing so. Over time, yuppies evolved to store water in their hair and tail. Yappies are sexually reproductive and determinate, as they are descended from Osins. The yappies emerged after the wrath of the Goddess and were never devout themselves (unlike the primitive Osins). Their innate magic is water. The anthropomorphic form has no differences from the human form.

Rarity: modified

Vampires are divided into Plumii with acquired vampirism, those infected by the insects of the Mossy Swamps, and Plumii with congenital vampirism, those reborn from a vampiric parent. Depending on the type of vampirism, Plumii have different external traits. This subspecies is a mutation, and to create a Plumii of this subspecies you must combine plumii myo of any rarity and night potion. Limited myo and staff myo have access to this subspecies without additional items.

hybrid

Gaya's newest gift to Plumii society for their worship and obedience is expressed in the pairing of souls. One possible pairing allowed Plumii society to spawn crossed subspecies. Two Plumii binding their crystals could die together and crystallize into one common crystal. Their essences will merge and with a small chance a Plumii will emerge from their shared crystal that has the traits of the two subspecies - those of its “parents” The Plumii of the crossed subspecies has innate adjacent magic based on its subspecies.
