The Rattletail is similar to a cattail, dragonfruit and a cactus that mimics a sound of a rattletail snake! The Rattletail is often found in deserts with pools of water that allow them to grow and filter the water near them. Absorbing minerals like Zinc and other minerals that makes the oasis more clean to drink. Inside is fruit that varies in sweetness depending where it is planted, with a light pink center. Usually it is faintly sweet and bitter, similar to dark chocolate or coffee with creamer, but more light in taste. The flesh keeps the plant hydrated and store all of the nutrients, making it a nice light snack for those who can't handle a lot of sweeter foods.
There is two "seeds" the plant has. The true seeds are the inside of the flesh while the false seeds are stored in the bulbs of the plant. These false seeds are just molted plant shell. On a windy day, the tail of the plant makes a rattle sound. These can also be harvest and grounded up to either adds heat to a dish, or brewed to make tea.
